GZA is proud to announce that Senior Grant Specialist Rania Campbell-Bussiere has earned the Grant Professional Certified® (GPC) credential.
Ms. Campbell-Bussiere joined GZA in 2022 to increase our government clients capacity to identify and win grant funding opportunities for environmental and infrastructure projects including brownfield remediation, flood resiliency, addressing extreme heat, habitat restoration, nature-based solutions, drinking water quality protection, and natural hazard mitigation planning. Over the past three years, she has assisted GZA clients with identifying, applying for, and securing more than $35 million in grants from a broad range of applicable federal and state government agencies, as well as several private and philanthropic funding sources.
Overseen by the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI), the GPC credential is a nationally recognized validation of a grant professional's skills and knowledge, documenting their expertise in program design, research, proposal writing, and grant management and certifying that they meet rigorous professional and ethical standards and follow best practices in the field. Fewer than 700 U.S. professionals have secured the credential since it was first offered in 2007.
“With the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act funding ending September 30, 2026, and the volume of federal grant funding being reduced and becoming more competitive to obtain, Ms. Campbell-Bussiere’s experience is in higher demand. ÑÇÐÇÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø are fortunate to be able to offer clients Rania’s deep expertise in helping secure grant funding for their projects,â€ said Anders Bjarngard, a GZA Principal and company-wide Governmental Client Sector Lead.
Ms. Campbell-Bussiere earned her master’s degree in Social Innovation & Sustainability from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT, and her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies & Sociology, with an Economics minor, from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. She completed the Project Management Professional Certification Prep Course at Drexel University’s Goodwin College of Professional Studies.
